Ingredients

  • 1 packet of fresh bread
  • 4 bowl of Water
  • 3 bowl of white Sugar
  • Oil to fry
  • 1 grated Coconut
  • Dry fruits for garnishing

How to make Sugar Syrup:

  1. In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water.
  2. Bring to boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved.
  3. Allow it to cool down a bit.

How to make Shahi Tukra:

  1. Cut the bread slices into 4 equal parts.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry bread pieces until its golden brown, flip the sides for evenly cooking.
  3. Remove the bread pieces into plate.
  4. Dip bread Tukra into sugar syrup and remove the pieces after one minute.
  5. Cover the fried & sugar quoted bread piece into coconut powder.
  6. Garnish the Shahi Tukra with finally chopped dry fruits.

Best way to serve Shahi Tukra:

  1. Shahi Tukra can be served as it is as a sweet dessert.
  2. Shahi Tukra can be served along with Rabri to give it extra shahi feel.

Note: Shahi Tukra can easily be stored in refrigerator for 4-5 days.
